Community Events
Check back often as we offer a wide range of community events, many of which take place on a weekly or monthly basis. We also will frequently post upcoming events from other community organizations in the area. Here's a sampling of some of our recurring programming:
Spotlight Family Support Groups (Weekly) - Our Spotlight Family Support Groups offer a weekly interactive forum for parents and families to get help, guidance and support. They take place every Tuesday and Wednesday evening via Zoom. Click on the link for more information.
Naloxone Training (Monthly, English and Spanish) - Naloxone is a life-saving treatment for individuals that are experiencing an active overdose. Naloxone training is an indispensable tool for anyone who has a loved one struggling with substance misuse. We offer recurring, online training sessions in both English and Spanish on the third Thursday of each month. As part of your participation, you will receive a free Naloxone kit. We'll post upcoming dates in the events calendar below.
CRAFT / Invitation to Change Training - This is an evidence-based model that assists family members with strategies and tools to help a loved one misusing substances. The Goal of CRAFT / ITC is to help influence change in a loved one's behavior. The desired outcome is reduced use or agreement to go for treatment. We have a six-hour workshop conducted by The Center for Motivation and Change offered twice a year, we will post upcoming events in the calendar below.
Run For Recovery - our most popular community event, the Run For Recovery helps us raise essential donations to help fund the organization's important work. The 2022 Run for Recovery will take place on Saturday, September 24. Check back soon for more details!
